Hello, I'm Natasha — an independent designer based in Brighton, UK. DUST is my little design studio specialising in print and branding for small businesses and independent designers. Lets work together!

Terms & Conditions

DUST is a trading name of Baker & Hues Limited. Registered No. 09571426.

As a designer it’s my mission to fulfil your needs and meet your goals but sometimes it’s best to have a few simple things written down. This is so we both know what is what, who should do what and what happens if things go not according to plan. In this agreement you won’t find any complicated legal terms or large paragraphs of unreadable text. I have no desire to trick you into agreeing to something that you might later regret. I just want what’s best for the safety of both parties, now and in the future. Good times.

Before I get cracking I’ll need a few things: a detailed brief for all work to be produced, all and any assets or content needed in the designs (logos, text, images etc.), this agreement signed and sent back to me and 50% of the total project fee paid as a deposit.

In order for me to perform services in an effective and efficient manner, you agree to: Provide all information and documentation that I request or that may otherwise be useful in connection with the performance of services; and Immediately advise the me of any changes in operations or other information that may require a change in the scope or particulars of the services. If you want to increase or decrease the scope of the services described above, or want to add additional services, I ask that any such changes be mutually agreed in writing and attached to this agreement as an addendum.

Fees & Payment

I’m sure you understand how important it is that you pay the invoices that I send you promptly.  As I’m also sure you'll want to stay friends, you agree to stick to the following payment schedule and terms, which will be as follows, but may be revised based on further conversations between us.

I issue all my invoices electronically. All invoices must be paid within 15 days of when the invoice was issued (unless otherwise specified). I also reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue invoices at the current statutory rate prescribed in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 until payment is received in cleared funds.

Cancellation Fee

In the event of the project being cancelled by you the client, ownership of all copyrights and the original artwork shall be retained by DUST. A Cancellation Fee for work completed and any expenses incurred will be paid by the client. The Cancellation Fee is based on the hours completed up to the point of the client cancelling the project and 50% of the remaining time allocated to the project by DUST.

Changes & Revisions

If the client requests any variations or additional tasks which aren't included in the agreed proposal/quote, additional charges will be applied based on my hourly rate. Along the way I might ask you to put requests in writing so I can keep track of changes.
